IntroductionThis manual was put together with the hope that people who have a desire to oppose an environmental problem will use it as a first step in pursuing this cause. From past experience, I have learned how difficult it can be to fight for an issue with little guidance. I did not attend a class called Environmental Causes 101. I learned from reading books, but mostly by the trial and error method and the help given by friends. This manual will help eliminate many of the difficulties I had to go through in the organizing of our group and aid those individuals thinking of forming and organizing other groups in their fight for a cleaner environment. This manual is also put together in bullet form to render the following and reading of it simpler and easier Lynne Faltraco AcknowledgmentsThe Concerned Citizens of Rutherford County (CCRC) is grateful to many individuals for their support and knowledge. These individuals were Thomas Linzey, Esq. of CELDF, Shireen Parsons of AppVoices, Trevor Fitzgibbon of Southeast Forest Project, and Michael Faltraco of CCRC. A special thanks to the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation for having the confidence and faith in our organization to provide the funding for this manual.
