The Concerned Citizens of Rutherford County (CCRC) has initiated a Logger Monitoring Program in Rutherford County. The Monitoring Program is designed to photograph and document active logging sites. The data is analyzed and recorded on evaluation forms for each site. Appropriate information is then forwarded to the North Carolina Division of Forest Resources (DFR) for further evaluation.
This Program is ongoing and has expanded into surrounding areas. But we need your eyes to find the timbering sites in Rutherford, McDowell, and Burke Counties. If you see timbering sites in these areas, please inform us at 828-287-7662 or 828-287-4429.
